Unfinished Songswritten by Diane Warren

So you’re thinking it’s ending
But it’s only just begun
Your whole life is there right
Right in front of you
Life’s a story that is all twisted and turned
All that matters is the lessons we learn

‘Cause we’re all unfinished songs
Waiting for the best part to come along
Hey hey
Hey hey
And we’re all pictures that’s drawn
We can be anything we want
Hey hey
Hey hey

Now is your time
It’s your life
No one’s living it but you
In your hands is your chance to live the life you choose

Life’s like music
There’s so much still unsung
Make it magic
There’s so much still to come

‘Cause we’re all unfinished songs
Waiting for the best part to come along
Hey hey
Hey hey
And we’re all pictures that’s drawn
We can be anything we want
Hey hey
Hey hey

You can write a song and write the story
Living all of this life in all its glory
Take the time to make the time to make each moment count
It’s your life
It’s your call
Grab the chance
Have it all

[chorus]

You can write a song and write the story

It’s official: Celine Dion is not only happening in Vegas, she’s staying in Vegas. The Canadian superstar has extended her contract at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace through 2019, reports Le Journal de Montreal.

What’s interesting is that Celine actually extended her contract several years ago, but nobody knew it. Her husband and manager, Rene Angelil, tells the paper that back in 2011, they signed an extension for eight years. “There are still six years left on her contract,” he says, “I’ve never spoken about this before.”

Angelil tells the paper that performing in Las Vegas is “an ideal situation” for Celine, adding, “She doesn’t have to tour the world. We have our house here, where we can spend the summers and holidays. The schedule is built around [our son] Rene-Charles ’s school schedule. It was a no-brainer. Celine loves doing this show — for her, to be onstage with 31 musicians, it’s quite something.”

When 2019 rolls around, Celine will have logged 13 years in total performing in Sin City. Would she be interested in making it an even 20? Angelil laughed, “I don’t think so.”

Then again, Caesars executives told the Las Vegas Sun that the report of the 2019 extension was “news to us,” but added, “We always want to talk with Rene about more shows.”
